Potter's Place Campground

The Campground for Adults Only

HONEYMOONERS TO RETIREE'S

OVERNIGHT OR SEASONAL

SINCE 1967

Nestled in a wooded valley, Potter's Place is part of the grounds of an early New England homestead and an operating tree farm. The Camping area encompasses over ONE HUNDRED ACRES of woods and fields, with a SIX ACRE POND and beach developed from a spring-fed stream.

The grounds include an INDOOR RECREATION AREA with separate lounge and game rooms, TWO UTILITY BUILDINGS with free hot showers and flush toilets, a SHOP for small projects or minor repairs, and a free DUMPING STATION. Lawn areas are maintained for outdoor games and garden space is available for vegetable plots. New in 2004 is a free heated swimming pool.

ONE HUNDRED SITES with electric and water hookups, picnic tables and fireplaces are scattered among the pines, overlooking the water or bordering open field-all offering a maximum of privacy while maintaining a congenial camping atmosphere.

Holding tank PUMPOUT SERVICE is performed on a regular basis at minimal cost.

This area is designed for ADULTS OF ALL AGES - honeymooners to retired persons, including those family campers who may desire a temporary break from the children. It will have an especial appeal to artists, bird watchers, camera enthusiasts -- to all those who love nature.

The emphasis in the operation of POTTER'S PLACE is toward the aesthetic-the development of nature trails, conservation of plant and wildlife, expansion of floral gardens, etc - while at the same time, maintaining the old New England agricultural motif.
